It’s all about furniture covers and cushion boxes to protect your favourite outdoor furniture and improve its longevity.

Cushion Boxes: Box of Tricks

Protect and clean your patio furniture cushions, and store them away in a nice Out and Out cushion box so they are neat and tidy, safely away during the winter and unexpected rain showers. Our cushion boxes come with a polyester lining and zip closure for added protection.

Keep your garden furniture looking nice and clean with a seasonal wipe down

A seasonal rub down with a soft brush at least once a year will help it look brand-spanking new.

How you clean it largely depends on what material it's made from, teak, rattan or metal. At Out and Out, we strive to use hardwearing materials for our outdoor furniture, this lowers the risk of customers from throwing out old furniture, as it lasts longer.

Metal

Wipe off mud, dirt and debris, with mild soapy water and damp, well-wrung sponge, wash out the sponge and wipe the furniture with clean water to remove the soap, and buff dry with a dry cloth. Keep it under wraps with a furniture cover.

Rattan

Simply get a soft brush and go over the furniture for a good dust-off. A quick rinse down with an eco-friendly mild detergent using warm water and a gentle wipe-off with a dry cloth leaving the outside air to complete the drying process will prolong your garden furniture’s longevity.

Many of our rattan garden furniture, such as the Chesterton Corner Rattan Set, has all the rustic charm of natural rattan but is made using durable synthetic polyrattan, giving the bonus of being 100% maintenance-free. However, it’s always a good idea to give it a lil wipe down and buff it here and there to remove any leaves, dust or cobwebs.

Teak

Dust with a soft cloth, and you can use a special wood cleaner or wood oil if you like. Apply with a soft lint-free rag, lightly rubbing it in and follow the grain of the wood. Teak has high oil content, so it is a great outdoor furniture option.
